Donuts, Acrylic on wood, 33x42

I painted over I painting I disliked that was hanging in my

mom’s bedroom for years. When she left us to start her new adventure in 2019, I had possession of the painting again and as soon as possible painted over the girl with bad proportions, anything would be better than that, so just circles, colored circles that came to remind me of frosted donuts. But now I’m thinking I could name it “Cells,”, or “Scrubbing Bubbles,” or “Something New to Replace Something Old.” My mom can never be replaced but I like to think of her floating around the universe now, enjoying herself in the form of ethereal, colorful bubbles like these.
